Child and Family Services - Southcenter 

  • CFS provides office, community, school & home based services designed to meet the needs of seriously emotionally and/or behaviorally disturbed children and youth in King County.  Services utilize expertise wraparound, evidence based practices, and cross system care coordination.  Services include individual and family therapy; group treatment; psychiatric evaluation; case management; parenting support and Youth Substance Use Disorder services. CFS clinical staff have specializations including early childhood, autism spectrum disorder, and adolescents.

  • Wraparound/WISe(Wraparound with Intensive Services)-Wrap Around program goals are to reduce the incidence and severity of SUD and mental/emotional disorders in high need children and youth; and to divert youth from further justice system involvement.  The team provides High Fidelity Wraparound, coordinated services and supports based on client and family strengths, needs, and priorities utilizing culturally competent approaches. The goals include increasing protective and resiliency factors while building skills to increase functioning at home, school and community; increase community connections through natural supports.

Older Adult Services - Southcenter

  • Older Adult Services (OAS) provides behavioral health care to our geriatric population.  These clients typically have a multitude of complex mental, medical, and physical, environmental and psychosocial problems which may accompany the aging process. OAS works closely with the Aging & Adult Services, Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), and other geriatric providers.  OAS also provides family support groups, training and consultation to businesses and human service agencies and community education classes.
Transitions Support Program

  • Transition Support Program (TSP) works directly with crisis clinic and BHRD to accept referrals for those who have been recently detained to local psychiatric inpatient facilities.  Team caseload of 95 clients who receive 90 days of intense case management and wraparound services.

  • Adult Recovery Services provides a full range of outpatient and case management mental health services.  All services are recovery and resilience oriented, designed to foster clients??? attainment of stability and growth consistent with individualized goals.  Approaches include holistic comprehensive plans and WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan), harm reduction & relapse prevention, Peer support, Consumer Resource Center; Emerald House Club and Supported employment.
Community Network Program (CNP)/Crisis Stabilization Services (CST)

  • These programs provide a wide range of services to adults and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health/co-occurring diagnoses.  CNP???s overall goal is to help consumers live safely and as independently as possible in their respective communities.  The program emphasizes strategies that help clients use the assistance and resources available to them including friends, family and their own natural support system in order to meet their needs.  CNP services include groups, individual, family and couples counseling, clinical case management, to assist with residential and other case management issues, medication management and psychiatric services, nursing services and health care supporter and crisis intervention services.  CNP provides Crisis Stabilization Services (CST) for the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) Region 2 countywide.  CNP also provides education and training to other agencies working with developmentally disabled consumers.  While specific outcomes of treatment vary for each client, the overall outcome of all treatment is to assist clients in living safely and as independently as possible in their communities.
Expanded Community Services
  • These services are specifically designed to provide diversion and transition services to help stabilize clients in the community to avoid emergency department and hospitalization. Expanded Community Services Team (ECS) is specifically designed to provide intensive mental health services and access to medical support/services at a community level for individuals whose mental health and medical acuity have prevented discharge from or who are at risk for being placed at Western State Hospital (WSH).
Substance Use Disorder Services (SUD)

  • (SUD) Services provide assessment and comprehensive Co-occurring Disorder (COD) treatment using the American society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria; Intensive Outpatient Counseling (IOP) & Outpatient Counseling (OP); Smoking cessation; Education and Specialized services include problem gambling.  Abstinence and harm reduction models including group and individualized treatment modalities are utilized to help clients reach and maintain their recovery goals.
Supported Housing

  • Supported Housing strives to place each eligible client in the least restrictive situation that is safe, stable, therapeutic, culturally and age appropriate
    • South King County (SKC) Housing First-  chronically homeless- permanent housing
    • Pacific Court, Capitol Hill Apodments & Holly Creek -supportive Housing
    • Project Homestead includes Outreach and Engagement, intensive wraparound services, supportive permanent housing for high needs families
    • Kenyon House serves clients with AIDS/Mental Health (MH)/Substance Use Disorders (SUD).  Provides service enriched permanent housing
    • McDermott Place uses a Housing First approach and serves Vets/ MH/SUD.  Includes permanent housing, harm reduction, relapse prevention, employment and peer support, in partnership with Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI)
    • Gossett Place serves Young Adults/Vets/ MH/SUD. Includes permanent housing, harm reduction, relapse prevention, employment and peer support, in partnership with LIHI

  • Supported Employment Services (SEP) provide evidenced-based supported employment to any mental health client with a county Tier.  SEP services are Zero-Exclusion, meaning clients cannot be turned away for poor work history, ongoing symptoms or a criminal record.

  • Deaf Services is a comprehensive culturally relevant mental health program providing a variety of individualized services to deaf/hard of hearing children, adults and families. The majority of Deaf Services clients use American Sign Language (ASL); some are deaf/blind and some have limited language skills, with little or no formal language base (either ASL or English).
